Hands and Feet

Hands and Feet
Mathew 5:13-16

“When we step out among the people of this world, the feet of Jesus are doing the walking. As we reach out to the people around us, the hands of Jesus do the touching. We carry the very presence of Christ into every situation we encounter; and when we do, the impossible becomes possible—no neighborhood is too rough, no heart is too hard, and no one is out of reach. We are the extension of the very hands and feet of Jesus.” Kevin Reynolds “The Hands & Feet of Jesus”

Just thinking about the fact that I am an extension of Jesus gives me goose bumps. Good stuff, right? What can you do this week to show Christ’s love to those around you? I, for one, am thinking about how I model Christ’s love to my children and my spouse. Can I extend a little more patience to my kids? After all, our Father’s love shows us endless patience. Is there something God is calling me to submit to my husband? I think I will try to give him more of my time this week. Maybe the Lord has put it on your heart to do some outreach. Is there a volunteer position at Meadow that you feel God calling you to do?

So I challenge us...how can we be the hands at feet of Jesus today?

Share what you tried this week. If your already volunteering, tell us why you love it. If you tried something different this week, share with us. Go to the Takin' on the Day blog:
